HELLO!!

You would be amazed at all the notes I have! I am already needing a new file box!! What an wonderful experience this is. Houston is a BIG Salt Lake City----the same but LOTS more! Taco Bell is just up the street and I have found I like the burrito fresco---with lots of HOT sauce. My companion and roommate are delightful. We have enjoyed several meals together, at the apartment and in numerous restaurants. The young Elders and Sisters are full of energy and enthusiasm. Elder Kikuchi lit a fire in their bosoms and they have really moved the work forward here in Houston. Elder Kikuchi brought his wife and they are such sweet people. He seems so unassuming until he starts to talk about the Gospel and what missionaries are strongly encouraged to do with their time: then he spoke with power and authority beyond his humble demeanor. Believe it or not, I have enjoyed the weather!!! I know prayers are answered. THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH!! My companion, Sister Billingsley (from Queen Creek, AZ) will be leaving on the 20 of November and my roommate, Sister Young (from Sandy, UT) will be leaving on the 2 of November. I am praying fervently to be a blessing in the lives of all the people I meet. I am praying fervently for these new sisters and we will make wonderfully happy memories together as we serve the Lord faithfully. I talked to President Hansen (from Gilbert, AZ) today; my second interview. He is just a perfect Mission President. I am so blessed---by each one of you and by being here in Houston. The job/calling is getting easier but I am a long way from understanding everything. I am glad that I have some history with this work which make the learning process a LITTLE easier. I hope all is well for you! You are in my prayers. I have made a couple of goals while I am here: read the entire Book of Mormon each month (I am on schedule); attend the Temple Tuesday-Intiatory, Saturday-Endowment; Elder Bednar challenge the congregation to get a paperback Book of Mormon and read and highlight all the "strengthened by the Lord" statements. I have modified that challenge and am going through the index and highlighting all the references and cross-references, starting with "strengthen". It has been interesting. I have made two Mission Memories purchases: a small Lenox dish and a sterling silver ring. I am always looking for something to add to my collections!! I am keeping my eyes open for a chime sphere and a glass Christmas Tree. As you can tell, this is a happy place! I love all of you so very much and pray for you everyday and place your names on the Prayer Roll every time I go. Thank you again for your prayers!! I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!!!!! 123123123123123123123123123 XOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXO
